Stories as Collective Consciousness

Stories are consciousness.

It’s a basic human activity, very tribal, to tell stories. Sharing information, entertainment, learning - creating community. The “stories” we tell ourselves, the inner dialogue, and the stories we hear around us are not so different. The “stories” are the ones inside your head, the thoughts and feelings of what you assume and anticipate. Stories from shows, movies, work, friends, music, conversation are the ones outside. Both the "stories" in our head and the stories around us merge over time.

Both just stories.
Spoken word.
Vibrations.

Like streams feeding into a river. It becomes one. It always was one.

Like streams feeding into a river. It becomes one. It always was one.

Be conscious of the stories around you. It will become you.

Be conscious of the stories around you.

It will become you.

It is so easy to spot when I get stuck in my story. Although my vocabulary is not limited, I say the same words over and over. Or the same topic keeps coming up with different people. And when I tell the story, I use verbiage that places me in that time and space where the story was reality. It happens all the time. It's a block

It happens in groups too. Groups can be blocked by stories. We all discuss things that are relevant and important, like things on the news. But are those topics really relevant and important? Or is it only relevant because others are discussing it? The story is an act of story community. The community discussion is the constant that builds relationships. Building community is the reason to share the story, the conversations, the words, the vibrations. Although the topics change, the topic of the story is important. It shapes the inner dialogue story that is held inside. And then again shared with others, to again be internalized.

Our stories make up our collective consciousness.

Use the stories around you to change your story.

Change your story, change your world.

Peace, Love, Sat Nam!
