Hold it with that banana!
Yellow bananas are everywhere, but hold it before you unpeel...
Brown spots mean that the starches have been properly ripened to sugars. If you eat a banana before this process of oxidization occurs, then the complex starch will be harder to break down... potentially leaving you gassy, bloated or constipated.
Brown spotted bananas are also sweeter, and have a better texture than yellow. Wait until your bananas are beautifully spotted, and if you accidentally wait too long, just pop those babies in the freezer for a smoothie or some banana “nice cream.”
